Last week, I revisited the bodacious, even outrageous question – What if I am my own limiter?
What if each of us really is the reason we are living the life we’re living, experiencing our disappointments, sorrows, and regrets?
To make it more direct, I used new words, asking myself to “Think about it: What if you – and only you – really are the limiter in … how your life plays out?”
Can it be that simple?
No! I refuse to accept that – It’s unthinkable!
Or is it?
What does it say about me if I won’t even ask or consider it?
But, asking myself this takes the timeless insight, “We have met the enemy and he is us,” to an all new, much deeper, and more important level.
The only thing truly unacceptable is that by denying it only serves to keep me a captive of my thoughts.
Can it be, really be, that I am my own limiter?
And, what if I am?
How do I know? What can I do?
When fate positions us to experience the unthinkable, we can respond with pushing ourselves; expand our limits to explore and broaden our awareness; and discover we’ve been certain – but mistaken. I call it mistaken-certainty. It’s the doorway to an exciting new future!
If you’re open to the unthinkable, come back next week for an exciting perspective.
Until next time,
Joe
