I’ll Believe It When I See It!

When I think about it, that sounds reasonable enough.

After all, if I can’t see it, how do I know it is?

Many times, I expected something – but it didn’t happen. And my hopes were dashed. To protect myself and to play it safe, I learned to wait until “I see it to believe it.” That hasn’t let me down even once.

Or has it?

What if believing it only after I see it has insidiously eroded my faith.

Like how a trickle of water can eat the ground. It may sound unthinkable, but the Grand Canyon didn’t exist until after trickles of water became a creek, a stream, a river devouring the earth, carving, and leaving the Grand Canyon in its wake.

As told in the Two Wolves Tale, that which I give, energy grows.

Doubt grows insidiously!

Who IS My Greatest Enemy?

Is it truly possible – I am my own limiter?

What if I am?

How do I know?

More importantly – What can I do?

Asking myself this takes “We have met the enemy and he is us” introduces a deeper, and more important level.

But the only thing I find truly wrong is that if I simply deny it – I’m choosing to stay a captive of my thoughts – I am my own worst enemy!

For left alone, unchallenged, my doubt erodes my faith. The same for you!

If you’re receptive to consider, weigh the unthinkable, come back next week for more.

Until next time,
Joe
