Fate/Free Will? Part 2

Fate/Free Will? Part 1, last week’s post on what I called “embrace our giants” struck a chord with a long-time reader and close friend. Describing how the ancient Greeks won or lost in their life adventures, made a point to share their experiences. This activity encouraged and prepared others for their adventures. Absorbing the experience and insights, then recalling and applying it. They were better prepared to handle the difficult and treacherous challenges awaiting them.

I shared their examples and my own experiences, pointing out it’s easier to persevere through our difficult times when we acknowledge and draw on the energy of example by those before us who persevered through their own difficult times and left us their encouraging, insightful examples.

The reader said they were glad I was still writing my posts, to which I commented, “I’m glad I’m still writing too.”

Several times I have felt like throwing in the towel.

Life won! I AM DEFEATED! Then repeatedly (because it’s easy to forget this when I’m in the mix) I’ll recall a William James, Viktor Frankl, Teddy Roosevelt, Einstein, or countless other giants’ experiences with insights/encouragements, draw on them and be inspired to “borrow energy from tomorrow!”

My friend went on to say you also remind me – there is a choice.

I can choose fate. I can stay with the book that was written for me by family, experience, and culture, or write my own book. I can put in the effort required to escape the programming and tap into my Creative Field to make my choice!

I ask you, as I asked them, “Now that you’re aware of this powerful energy waiting at your beck and call – are you up to the challenge to drawing on it and receiving the power waiting for you?”

If not, what more do you need?

Until next time,
Joe
