Listening to My Angel (Part 2)

Last week’s post shared my first encounter with an angel. How my angel reached out and saved me from self-destruction.

I had already completed the act.

All I had to do was allow the steps, the process, to happen. But no! My angel knew that wasn’t going to happen. Not on their watch! I had things to do. Experiences to assimilate and grow from. Just because I was feeling overwhelmed with anger, pain, and abhorrence didn’t entitle me to an escape clause.

I had too much to do to prepare for my next level of experiences.

Today, I am so grateful for all that I’ve experienced. Each step is a coin. Two sides calling to me. Two stories vying for my attention. Sometimes my loss, pain or anger seemed louder that grabbed and immersed me in its grip. Other times the quiet peace of gratitude for the gift I received was easily apparent.

Either way, it was always my choice to focus on either side.

With patience and practice and through experience, I learned one (the loss, pain, or anger) brought only more of the same but the other side, the gift, brought clarity, peace, and empowerment!

That made it my best choice by far!

My purpose, the purpose for being here, is God emerging through us and our experiences as described here. The One, known as God as well as countless other names throughout time and place, created you and I, everyone, and everything for the purpose of experiencing and emerging.

Until Next time,
Joe
