The Secret Hiding in Plain Sight! (Conclusion)

In the brief Matrix video clip below, Neo asks the oracle 3 questions:
(1) Can he trust her?
(2) How can he actually have a choice when she already knows his answer?
(3) Why is she here?

First, Neo questions if he can trust her and she tells him that’s up to him. Throughout my posts, I‘ve posted encouragement from history’s greatest minds and others of notable success; my own doubts, what I did, what I found, and encouraged you to do the same.

Second, Neo asks if she already knows what his answer is, how can that count as he really has a choice? The oracle responds, “Because you didn’t come to make the choice. You’ve already made it. You’re here to try to understand why you made it.” Although this is just a movie script, this nails it!

I am, you are, each of us is a spark, a particle of God. That’s our true nature. It is written “you are gods.” God can be seen in two ways. Western man tends to visualize God almost manlike (re: The Creation of Adam, Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel painting).

Many Christian ministers have joked that “God made man in his image and man has been trying to return the favor ever since.” I think of this body as my space and time suit. Like a tuxedo prepares me to gain entry and experience a black-tie event, this body prepares me to gain entry and experience this life we call “reality.”

Third, The oracle says she is here, we’re all here to do what we’re here to do. She is here to get to the future and the only way we will get there is together. Visualize my puzzle analogy and imagine the puzzle as a partial selfie by God in this moment.

My journey, your journey, the journey is experiencing the story we’ve written.

There’s a difference between the imaging, the writing and the actual living – experiencing the story.

The imaging is responding to stimuli. Regardless the internal or external, it sparks my response, what I think, say, or do next. Generally, the response is very predictable. A negative stimulus sparks a negative response. But the challenge and resulting growth (my growth, your growth, humanity’s growth) is learning there’s a space and how to use it to choose the response that opens the door to a better future. Learning to use this space is a vital step in my, yours, our emergence.

In creating or writing the story, I give it substance, body, and character. Writing it, I add the texture, color, and set the tone I have imagined.

But it is in the experiencing, the participation: including my triumphs, stumbling and oops; my doubting, practicing and making life prove it that I understand and build confidence with trust. I discover and experience the involvement, the participation, the emotional engagement empowering me to write my next story.

Until Next Time,
Joe
